I have just spoken to the Bolton Arena who have confirmed that the outside Track is closed all week. Fingers and Toes now crossed for next week!!

Mid Lancs XC - Saturday 16th Jan 2010 - CHANGE OF VENUE

Just a reminder that the venue for this weekends Mid Lancs XC has been changed to Lawsons Ground, Blackpool. Please pass this on to anyone you know who is thinking of going.

Outside Track Training CANCELLED Mon 11th Jan - due to weather

Unfortunately, the outside track at the Bolton Arena is still closed due to the bad weather, so NO training outside tonight! Fingers crossed again, for later in the week!

LAA XC @ Witton Pk in snow

In temperatures of Minus 4’C the beautiful setting of Witton Park attracted the Lancashire Athletic Association Championships. The usual hardy Lancashire association felt the course was safe enough and it didn’t prevent a good field turning out on the day.

Nathan Townsend was our only U13’s runner and was looking for a good finish against his arch rivals. In these conditions anything could happen, iced over rough terrain was being covered by the recent snow fall making the landscape stunning but unpredictable under foot. In recent Mid Lancs 14th has been his best so to come in 10th was very satisfactory for himself today. All runners found it difficult and some not finishing proving the course as difficult as was feared.

Lancs XC Champs 2010 - ON

Greater Manchester XC Champs - CANCELLED

I have received notification that the Greater Manchester Cross Country Championships, due to be held on Sunday 10th Jan 2010, have been cancelled due to the weather.
